hate video

So i was watching Tosh.0 last night and he showed a video where this guy was talking about all the stuff he hated.Tosh said that hate videos are getting popular on youtube, so he felt like he had to make one. I've seen 5 so far, so i think I'm going to make one and post it on my blog. Did you know Vince from the Sham-WOW commercial got arrested for beating up a hooker? Sucks, that guy is awesome. Maybe he will sell a few Sham-WOW's to his jail mates.I got this thing in the mail for a dance intensive at Florida State University Feb. It's on a Saturday and a Sunday. A whole entire 2 days of dance and only dance :) Its what I need. So Miss Holly said no more taco bell before dance because I almost got sick while I was dancing. I should really start making healthier choices. :/ Its so hard though because I'm in love with the worst possible foods. Courtney wants me to go on the P90X diet with her.lol lets see how long I can do that.

I think I've made a final decision on my research paper topic. It will be about Castle architecture. Its going to be about the idea form follows fuction, which means that the shape of the building should be based on its intended fuction. I've got to figure out how I am going to organize this thing and find enough things to explain.

oh my gashh

Trying to juggle everything at the same time is getting extremely difficult. I wish there was just some kind of book I live by that told me how to run my life. I feel so scrambled and disorganized. On the brighter side of things Nick is coming over tonight and we are going to eat some baldinos with the family :) And Saturday Ash is suppost to be having her 16th birthday party. I designed her cake and its going to be perfect, I'm so excited. I really would like to go to the coastal empire fair on Sunday, but right now its looking like I'm going to have to come home and work on my homework.

I have decided to do my research paper on medieval weapons. It just strikes me as an interesting topic that I could write about easily. I think its cool that Mr. Parker is trying this new method for the research paper. Its way better than the plain old basic research paper we all know how to do already. This will be a challenge for me because I've never made a website before. I like it. I chose the Shakespeare sonnet Shall I compare thee to a summer's day, otherwise known as sonnet 18 supposedly. Anyway I bought it on itunes so I'm just going to put it on a cd and listen to it in the car on my way to school. That will be the easiest way for me I think.

I'm finding out how difficult it is to handle a job, school, and dance at the same time. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday right after school I go to the studio to teach dance till 6:45 then i go to dance at 7, that ends at 8:30 and then I get home around 9 and so that would be when I start my homework. Sleep has not been a friend of mine lately.It's just tough because my family gets upset with me also because I rarely ever have the chance to spend time with them either. My dad always tells me "Hey alli, it's nice of you to stop by for a visit". I might as well just bring a pillow and a blanket to the dance studio and just live there.I just need money. Oh the pain.

fascination with horror movies

So my favorite channel on TV this weekend was syfy. I love it when they play all the horror movies around Halloween, its my favorite. I watched everything from the Saw movies(which are my favorite) to Boogeyman. I can't really explain my fascination for horror movies, they just intrigue me. Especially the ones with the serial killers. Its interesting to see how they're brains work. And the guys that come up with this stuff, must have some freaky dreams or something cause its just so cool to watch what they come up with. I just love it.

The moral of this story is...love is not something that should be chased or forced. Love is something that just happens when the time is right. Regardless of how hard you work to try to make love fit, it will not work out until the right person and right time arrive.

I really really really wanna mac book

I was playing with my cousins mac book all weekend and I got so attached it was hard to let go. It has an LED display screen, a super long lasting battery( the laptop i have now dies in 5 minutes), and a multi touch track pad. I don't even want to use my piece of crap computer anymore now that seen that. I need another job. This weekend is going to be quite busy. Friday when i get out of school I will be going straight to the Fall Festival to help out, there then I'm going to the game to take pictures and paint faces. Saturday, friends from the family are coming all the way from atlanta to spend some time at my house and eat dinner and stuff. Sunday hopefully I can chill.

Courtly Love/ letter Academic Blog

During this argument both man and woman have made good points. However, only one person makes a valid point in the name of courtly love, meaning only one person is right. Since you cannot agree on who is right for yourselves, you have chosen me, Marie, the Countess of Champagne, to decide between the two of you who has the right idea about love.
You both argue whether love exists in marriage, and whether envy between lovers is just. Man, you have said that in most cases love does not exist in marriage. Woman you have contended with that opinion by stating that that love develops within the marriage. Or in other words you grow to love your partner that you are married to. Man, believes that love is the uncontrollable desire to want to have sex. Woman says that sex is just another way to strengthen the bond of love. Man believes that love is not something that develops through marriage, love develops before marriage. Man states that jealousy is the nature of love, and without it true love cannot exist. Woman says that love can exist without a sin such as jealousy.
However the rules of courtly love must come into context. Marriage is deterrent to love. Just because you are married doesn’t mean that you should still love the person after you get married. This is basically saying that people do not get married because they love each other. In most cases these marriages are arranged. So if you want to love someone other than your marriage partner, it is perfectly fine in the rules of courtly love. Love cannot exist in an individual who cannot be jealous. You might even call love a sin because it is the envy that keeps it alive. The easy attainment of love makes it of little value, but if the attainment of love is a difficult, it makes the relationship more precious. Man you are trying to attain the love of the Woman, but do want her as a wife. He is trying hard to get her to love him, so he thinks the love will be stronger because of his efforts. However, Woman says she cannot be bound by a double love, another courtly love rule. She is already married to another man, so she believes she cannot love this Man. Using both Man and Woman’s portrayal of the courtly love rules, I have made my decision.
I have chosen the Man as the correct person because I agree with all your beliefs on the courtly love rules. Man, you overrule the Woman because he seems to know more rules about courtly love than the Woman, and you use them wisely against her in your argument. Man has abided by the rules no matter what his true wants may be. He knows the rules well and always has an immediate answer for the woman. Woman may have a point regarding her own opinion, but some of her argument has nothing to do with the rules of courtly love.

You must leave the woman be, for she does not desire to be with you. There is really nothing you can do regarding the arguement even though you are right in most cases. She is a married woman and it is up to her to decide what she wants in life.

The maiden holding the leash is without doubt the monster in the equation. The dragon is being lead by her and she has lead him to be killed by the knight. The dragon obviously, by the look in his eyes, is not even fighting back which shows he has no contempt for the night or wanted to destroy him. The knight just automatically assumes because he is a dragon he is dangerous and is going to attack. The maiden is not even attempting to try and stop the attack which shows that she wanted it to happen.

The writing test was a piece of cake. The topic was if you could go back in time what time period would you go to. I altered it a little and kind of made it my own. My plan was to go back in time to 9/11 and stop the terrorist from getting on the plane. I was the superhero to change the world. I was going to prevent that incident from happening in the first place. I'm not quite sure if it was supposed to be a persuasive essay either, but that's kind of how I wrote it. I was trying to convince the scientist that this would be a great reason to go back in time and use the machine to our advantage. It killed billions of people and ruined lives of the people who had to witness it, or watch it on television. New York City's trademark was also destroyed along with the rest of the city. I was quite pleased with my work. I felt like it was original and I wanted mine to be a different kind of read.

TGIF! This week was so long, and I haven't got much sleep at all. I'm not sure why but I'll be so tired and want to sleep during the day, but when it comes time for bed I can' t sleep. This coming up week is going to be the best. Non- stop smiling for this girl :) I think I'm going to go out for Mexican tonight. I'm been craving some salsa. As you can see the dolls turned out amazing.Best Evaaa. This weekend i get to cram that memorization down my throat and read all those packets, so it should be swell :)

For this Academic Blog I thought I might compare the two main characters in the epic peoms Beowulf and Canterbury Tales, Beowulf and the Knight. The Knight seems to be held at a very high stature which seems to be even higher than Beowulf. The Knight was looked at highly because he was good and ethical. Victory is the sight of any warrior and that is where the two characters are different. Beowulf fights only to kill. He is arrogant, boastful and loves the attention he gets from hearing people talk about his greatness. While the knight strays away from that attention, he does not care for that, all he cares for is doing the right thing for his people and he is humble. It seems like the code of chivarly is just different in these two epic poems because there is a different idea on right and wrong.

Its been an quite an eventful week. My friend Mikayla and I have been to Subway like erriday. We made friends with Raaj, he works there. He's cool guy. I don't know if thats his real name but i told Mikayla that we should call him that. He knows exactly what we want to order everytime we walk in. Does anyone know what a BMT is? Its some type of sandwich, and no it doesnt have bacon, mayonaise, or tomato. We started two new dances this week. One is to Imagine by Jack Johnson and the other is to some song that I can't remember the name of but we are tapping on a bench so its really fun. One week down and one more week to go before i get my braces offfff! I can't wait. I've had them for like 4 years of my life. It's going to be wonderfulll! The only difference that I see between Beowulf and Grendel is self control. They both have an extreme amount of power and the capability to be great heroes. They just chose different paths. Grendel used his powers for evil, while Beowulf used his for the greater good. In Beowulf Grendel is portrayed as being completely animalistic. When I read the story Grendel my perception was altered. He is actually quite an intelligent creature full of thought that he wishes to express. He has so much of that built up inside that sometimes he may act irrational and express his emotion by destroying people. Beowulf uses that strength and intelligence to help other people. It’s just a difference in perception between the two charcters. Grendel believes that humans are the scum of the earth. The humans were always calling him the descendant of Cain. It was like he had no choice but to be what they expected of him. Beowulf was expected to live up to his father’s standards. So of course he had to do that and of course he was adored for it just as his father was before him. It’s the caste system once you’re in it you really can’t get out.

Well, great weekend so far. Went to the Richmond Hill Football game Friday night, made new friends, reconnected with some old ones. Me and mom have been looking at class rings. I'm debating on whether i want to get my birthstone, Sapphire, or golden Sapphire. I had to clean this morning :/ not so fun, but at least i can see my desk now. After that I went to go look at motorcycles with Dad. He wants to get a Harley Davidson Crossbones. I will be getting my motorcycle license ASAP. I fell in love when I rode one in the mountains. They're so much fun. Then we went next door and ate at the shell house. It was good, but not worth the outrageous $90 we spent. Tomorrow I have to look for adds for yearbook or my grade is going down the toilet. Maybe church if i can wake up. Whelp, I bid you good day ;)
